Sunniside house thrives as a basic campsite, offering toilet facilities and a shower washing up area, cold running water (hot in the shower!) and a pitch with a view. Our little site has been kept small to make it special. We love having guests from abroad and in the UK.

FirePit Grills are available to hire from Sunniside. the perfect way to end the day under majestic stars with an open fire Pit perhaps some marshmallows?

Each Pitch offers beautiful views right across the Tyne Valley over towards the Pennines. Breathtaking sunsets and wonderful starry nights. Wildlife on the doorstep.

We can even cater for your Group Breakfast/Lunch and Supper *please get in touch to discuss requirements*

Directions from the campsite owners

Heading from Acomb follow the road through the village up past 3 pubs and on up the hill and past Salmons well Farm take the next turning on your Left signed The Mariner’s Hotel and Fallowfield Dene. Sunniside house is the First Driveway on your right.

Heading off of the Military Road B6318 take the turning to Oakwood, and follow sign’s to fallowfield Dene. At the Xroads take a right turn sined Acomb. approximately 1 mile on go straight over the x roads.

In 400yrds take the next right hand turn Signed The Mariner’s. Sunniside is the first drive on the Right hand side with a tree lined Driveway!

Sunniside is a great base to use, whether it’s paddle boarding one and a half miles away or wild swimming you’re in too, or perhaps a hike or stroll along Hadrian’s Wall path 2miles away, Roman encampments 10mins.

A simple stroll or bike ride along the Tyne River and a pub lunch!

The historic market town of Hexham along with its beautiful abbey is a mere five-minute drive away. Try fishing at Watersmeet on the River Tyne and visit the beautiful village of Corbridge and its famous kitchen shop!
