Directions from the campsite owners
Our campsite entrance can be easily located using Google Maps or What3Words code ///really.copper.unafraid.
Please note: that satellite navigation is often inaccurate in this area and can direct you through unsuitably narrow lanes. If using a satellite navigation system, we recommend that you set your destination to Totnes first, and then once you have reached Totnes, reset it to (shortest route) Slapton or grid reference 50.305200,-3.667500 for the campsite entrance.
The directions below give the easiest route to our site, and broader A-roads are used wherever possible.
Please note: Caravans and motorhomes must use this route, as Slapton Village has a 6’6″ width restriction.
Leave the A38 at the Dart Bridge junction at Buckfastleigh and head towards Totnes on the A384 (Buckfastleigh is approximately midway between Plymouth and Exeter and around 20 miles from both).
After about 4 miles, at the Shinners Bridge roundabout, turn left towards Totnes on A385.
After 1.2 miles, at the Totnes traffic lights, turn right onto the A381 and head towards Kingsbridge, continuing past Harbertonford and Halwell.
As you pass the BP Petrol Station at Totnes Cross, bear right (staying on the A381).
A mile beyond the BP Petrol Station, at the signpost to Slapton, turn sharp left off the A381 (at Stanborough Gate). Follow the lane down towards Slapton—it is single-track with passing places. Don’t worry about the 6’6″ width restriction on the road sign; it applies to Slapton Village, beyond our campsite.
After 4 miles, turn left at the Sea View Campsite sign, drive down the track, park by the green barn and walk down to reception.
