Cove Camping is a 60-day pop-up campsite located on the beautiful South Hams coast, just a 5-minute walk from Hope Cove and its stunning beaches, charming pubs, and access to the South West Coastal Path. With only 25 pitches available, Cove Camping offers a peaceful and intimate setting perfect for families and dog owners.

Pitches and Facilities

The campsite accommodates tents, tent trailers, motorhomes, and campervans. Each pitch is just £25 per night, providing an affordable escape to the coast. The facilities at Cove Camping include:

Composting Toilets: Eco-friendly and well-maintained.
Gas-Powered Showers: Hot showers are available for a refreshing wash.
Wash-Up Area: A small area for dishwashing.
Rubbish and Recycling Facilities: Keep the campsite clean and green.

Site Rules and Regulations

To ensure a pleasant stay for all, Cove Camping has a few important rules:

Dog-Friendly: Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leads at all times due to the nearby sheep fields. There is a charge of £10 per dog for the duration of your stay.
Vehicle Waste: If your vehicle has its own W.C., please note that we cannot dispose of this waste on-site.
Arrival and Departure: Check-in from 3pm and check-out by 10am.

The campsite postcode is TQ7 3HH, along the Inner Hope Bypass in Hope Cove. You’ll find us sign-posted, up a tarmac track. The track ends at the campsite gateway where you enter us.

Near by attractions

The kids will be spoiled at Cove Camping, with two sand-and-pebble beaches to choose from in Hope Cove, both within a five-minute walk. If you’re looking for more options, there’s a sandy expanse at South Milton (10 minutes’ drive) with a landmark rock arch just offshore.

For those who enjoy water sports, Bantham Beach (20 minutes) offers a surf school and kayak hire. During the summer months, food trucks frequent Bantham Beach, keeping hungry families well-fed.

South West Coast Path

For those keen to get out on the South West Coast Path, it’s just a five-minute walk from Cove Camping.

Turn east for a visit to Bolt Tail’s Iron Age hill fort (20 minutes) and continue for clifftop views over the English Channel from National Trust – Bolberry Down (50 minutes).

National Trust Properties

Explore the stunning Overbeck’s Garden, a National Trust property just a 15-minute drive away. Wander among palm trees and enjoy spectacular views over the Kingsbridge Estuary to Salcombe.

Salcombe

The pretty waterside town of Salcombe, just 10 minutes from Overbeck’s Garden, offers a variety of indie shops, seafood bars overlooking the yacht harbour, and rum and gin distilleries for tours and tastings.
