Cottage Waters

When coming in on the A158 bear left after Gunby roundabout head toward Orby and Ingoldmels for approx. 4 miles, you will pass Skegness Stadium ( welcome to Skeg Vegas) then you will come to the traffic lights turn left onto the A52 (if you are coming in from Skegness also this road will take you to) Ingoldmels, Chapel St Leonards, then Hogsthorpe, when you get to Mumby turn left down Cumberworth Lane, then left again, follow this road for 1 mile go past all the houses then you will see a Cottage-Waters board, turn right into the drive.

If you are travelling on the A16, at Ulceby Cross turn left on the A111, go through Alford (if you follow the sat nav it will send you down the narrow roads and you don’t want that!) pick up the signs for Bilsby take the next right to Thurlby B1449, follow this road for 2 miles you will come to some traffic lights go straight over do not turn right, continue on this road, till you come to a junction go straight over to Mumby carry on till you see the Red Lion Pub LN13 9SD take the second turning on the right down Cumberworth Lane then take the first left and follow the road for 1 mile go past all the houses until you come to a straight bit , and you will see Cottage-Waters board outside.

Cottage-Waters sits close to the Lincolnshire coast with several seaside towns, nature reserves, and local attractions within easy reach.

Skegness

The seaside town of Skegness is a short drive from the campsite. It offers a traditional seafront, amusement arcades, and family attractions.

Nearby is Fantasy Island, a well-known theme park with rides, markets, and entertainment.

Mablethorpe and the Local Beaches

The coast around Mablethorpe provides wide sandy beaches and seaside facilities. Nearby Chapel St Leonards offers another coastal stop with shops and places to eat.

Fishing and coastal walks are also popular in this area.

Gibraltar Point Nature Reserve

The coastal Gibraltar Point National Nature Reserve lies just south of Skegness and is known for its birdlife and walking trails.

The nearby North Sea Observatory overlooks the reserve and provides views across the surrounding landscape.

Sandilands and Gunby Hall

The Sandilands National Nature Reserve offers coastal grassland, wildlife habitats, and walking routes.

A short drive away, Gunby Hall is a National Trust country house with gardens and parkland to explore.

Local Activities

The surrounding area also offers countryside walks, cycle routes, and several golf courses. Local pubs and village events, including seasonal car boot sales, can also be found nearby.
