Cae Ddel Country Camping is a countryside campsite just 3 miles from Criccieth. This off-grid site offers a unique camping experience for Greener Camping Club members, surrounded by nature and perfect for those looking to disconnect from busy everyday life. Enjoy campfires, barbecues, and picnics by the pond in a natural, green setting.
Pitches
The campsite offers 10 large pitches set in a natural field among the trees. The spacious countryside setting allows guests to pitch their own tents. As an off-grid green site, there are no hookups, but there are plenty of picnic benches, chimeneas, and fire pits to enhance the outdoor experience. The site is unlit, making it perfect for stargazing, so guests are advised to bring torches.
Green Space
Cae Ddel Country Camping is a natural green site, offering ample opportunities to spot wildlife such as dragonflies, damselflies, butterflies, insects, buzzards, a heron, and barn owls. The site is dog-friendly, and there is a dedicated dog-run field where dogs can be off their leads.
Facilities
- Toilets: The shepherd’s hut-style trailer features three flushing toilets, cleaned twice daily, and stocked with loo roll and hand soap.
- Showers: After a day of exploring, guests can enjoy a hot shower in the shepherd’s hut-style trailer, which has three free hot showers.
- Cooking & Washing Up: Two washing-up points with hot water are available. Guests can bring their barbecues or rent chimeneas with grill shelves and fire pits for £5.00 per night. Please bring your charcoal.

From Criccieth head out of the town on the B4411 and turn left before the small village of Rhoslan, onto the Llanystumdwy Road, where the campsite is your first left turning.
From the A487, turn onto the B4411 towards Criccieth. As soon as you leave the small village of Rhoslan turn right onto the Llanystumdwy Road and the campsite is the first left turning.
